Agriculture in Tropics and Subtropics (ATS) is a two-years Master's study programme taught in English. The programme is oriented on modern production of tropical crops, farm and wildlife animals including economic and technical aspects. It covers also broader field of sustainable rural development and appropriate technologies. The programme consists of several obligatory courses addressing major crops' and animal’s characteristics, cultivation and rearing systems and aspects of processing and commercialization. However, major part of courses is optional, and students can design their study plans individually based on their professional needs.
Faculty provides many opportunities to gain hands-on experience and practical skills through its projects around the world. Students are highly encouraged to develop their master's thesis in conjunction with one of these development or research projects or with a local institution abroad. The studies are terminated by State exam and defence of the Master's thesis. Students graduate with the title „Inženýr“ - Ing.
