Admission of applicants without graduation certificate will be temporary and conditional upon the certificate being submitted, not later than the day of enrolment. In this case the enrolment to study can be done later than in case of other applicants. Applicants who completed a bachelor's degree abroad must also submit a proof of validated foreign university education (so-called nostrification). More information about the course of the validation is available HERE.
In case the applicant is unable to attend the entry examinations in the 1st or 2nd period (period where the admission procedure is organized) due to unavoidable reasons, he/she can be examined on an alternate date. In such cases, an explanatory request for an alternate date should be delivered to the Study Administration Office FTA not later than proper date of the entrance examination of the selected period. Another option of admission procedure to the programme ICARD for foreign applicants is a videoconference (see details below). Supplemental round is organized to supplement the capacity of the programme which may be already filled out during the 1st or 2nd period of the proper date of the entrance examination or from the alternative date of entrance examination.
The Dean of the FTA decides whether a student is to be admitted or not. The decision is based on the evaluation of the tests and interviews. This decision will be announced on is.czu.cz/prihlaska (it is necessary to watch the admission procedure process), usually within seven days. Applicants can appeal the decision within 30 days after delivery of the decision. Applicants will obtain the original decision document of admission at the enrolment.
In case of successful fulfilment of the admission procedure of applicants from countries that require obtaining a visa a confirmation of accommodation will be sent to the Embassy of the Czech Republic via the data mailbox after the confirmation of payment of the fee for study in a foreign language has been sent electronically to the FTZ Study Department. The confirmation of study for the embassy and announcement of the fulfilment of the entrance examination will be sent to the applicant by post.
The admission procedure to master programmes is devided into two rounds. In the first round the committee selects the candidates according to their prerequisites for study - on the basis of the annotation of bachelor thesis (or similar written outcome), of the results of the completed previous studies (in the form of transcript of records), CV and motivation letter. The documents have to be sent to the Academic administration office (personally or by e-mail to admission_FTZ@ftz.czu.cz) in the time of registration for admission procedure.
In the first round the presumptions for the study are evaluated and it is possible to reach up to 50 points. The evaluated criteria are:
- 20 points – results from previous studies
- 10 points – annotation of bachelor thesis (or similar written outcome)
- 10 points – experiences and presumptions to study
- 10 points – motivation letter
Selected applicants who reach 20 points will be invited electronically via the UIS system to the second round of admission procedure – the entrance examination itself.
