The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) CCR European Research in collaboration with German council for cooperatives organised a three-day conference entitled “Cooperatives and the Transformation of Business and Society” on 21-23 August 2019 Berlin Germany. Participants of the event were mainly scholars, students, representatives of cooperatives, policy makers and other stakeholders.
The research conference addressed these thematic areas” Cooperatives in Socialist and Post-Socialist Transformation, Cooperatives Impacts and the Transformation of Value Chains, Cooperatives and the Transformation of Financial and Insurance Systems, Cooperatives and the Sustainable Development Agenda, Cooperatives and the Transformation of the Food System, The Future Treatment of Cooperatives and Regulation.
Samuel Ahado, as a member of the Cooperative Research Group gave a presentation on Cooperatives in Socialist and Post-Socialist Transformation on the topic “Factors affecting participation in cooperatives and its impact on economic performance of farmers’ in Georgia”
