Ecology of large mammals of West African savannah

What are the main constraints limiting antelope and giraffe of Western Africa to thrive, both in the protected areas and outside them? We focus not only on the biological aspects but do consider the human dimensions as a key part of understanding of large mammals’ ecology. Human-wildlife and wildlife-livestock interactions are of a special concern to us.
