On Friday 6th of October, the doors of the Herbarium of Tropical Botany and Ethnobiology Lab were opened to the public during The Researchers’ Night event. Many visitors had the opportunity to observe some of the most exciting herbarium specimens documenting tropical and subtropical crops and plants and their products, microscope the fascinating details of plant fibres, explore the process of the preparation of herbarium voucher specimens, and learn about the overall importance of herbarium collections. We were pleased to be part of the Researchers’ Night, and we appreciate the great interest of visitors from different age groups and professional backgrounds. The exhibition could not have been prepared without our students, namely Eliška Čechová and Anna Pražáková, to whom we would like to thank on behalf of the whole team.
