The former member of TRIBE team Dr. Naji Sulaiman has been interviewed by The New York Times

Our colleague Dr. Naji Sulaiman, a former member of TRIBE lab, has been interviewed by the prestigious international newspaper The New York Times. The interview is featured in an article focusing on the Yerba Maté drink in Syria and its socio-cultural and historical context. The New York Times took an interest in Naji's expertise following his previous publication on Yerba Maté, which was published in Economic Botany in 2021 when he was proceeding with his PhD study at our faculty.

Naji finished his PhD study in March 2023, and is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Environmental and Applied Botany at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo - Bra, Italy.
