Nepal is known as one of the countries that is severely affected by climate change. Climate change had a massive impact on agricultural sector in Nepal, and hence jeopardized its food security.
Giri Prasad Kandel, a PhD candidate from our group, is investigating the interlinkages between climate change, rural out migration and food security in Nepal.
In summer 2021, he collected his data from Nepal where he interviewed smallholder farmers in different farming systems near the Himalayan region. The monsoon season was a great obstacle for him during the survey, however, he successfully managed to collect his data, and comeback to Prague with these photos from his trip.
