The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTZ) welcomed its alumnae who returned to their alma mater twenty-five years after completing their studies. On Saturday, 13 June 2026, they took part in the Silver Graduation Ceremony held at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU Prague) and subsequently visited FTZ to reconnect with their university years and discover how the faculty has evolved over the past quarter-century.
The gathering took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The alumnae were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Hynek Roubík, who presented the current profile of FTZ, highlighted its key achievements, the development of study programmes, research activities, and extensive international cooperation. The visitors gained insight into the faculty’s current direction while sharing memories of their own student experience.
The programme also included a tour of FTZ’s modern teaching and research facilities. The alumnae had the opportunity to see the spaces used today by students and researchers and compare them with the faculty they remembered from their studies.
The visit concluded with a celebratory toast on the faculty’s rooftop terrace overlooking the university campus. The informal part of the programme continued with conversations, shared memories, and discussions about potential future collaboration.
We would like to thank our alumnae for their visit and for the wonderful atmosphere they brought back to the faculty. We greatly appreciate staying connected with our graduates and look forward to future reunions.
