The Research Facility for Eland Antelope and Guanacos at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, located at the CZU University Farm in Lány, represents a unique space where research, education, and practice have been interconnected since 2006. The care of a unique herd of eland antelope (Tragelaphus oryx) and guanacos (Lama guanicoe) enables research focused on their biology, behaviour, and sustainable management under Central European conditions. The facility also serves as a living laboratory for students and researchers, while increasingly opening to the public through the Loska Eco-Centre, which highlights the role of large herbivores in the landscape and promotes environmental education.
