At the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTA), students have the opportunity to join several active associations that address important social and environmental issues.
BeFair communicates the concept of fair trade, ensuring that products are obtained without the use of child labor and that farmers and their suppliers are properly rewarded financially. BeFair's activities also cover broader themes such as sustainability, recycling, second-hand fashion, and maximizing food use. The association promotes ideas of alternative farming, community gardens, agroforestry, and permaculture.
Student Ambassadors is a group of FTA students dedicated to helping newcomers start their studies at our faculty. They are happy to share their personal experiences and work closely with the faculty leadership to organize events throughout the year, as well as hosting their own events.
Antelope Conservation, Inc. is committed to the conservation of the Derby eland and other West African savannah antelope species in their native habitat.
These associations provide students with excellent opportunities to get involved in meaningful projects, develop their skills, and contribute to sustainability and wildlife conservation.
