Internship Opportunity: Monitoring Wild Horses and Kulans in Kazakhstan

Are you passionate about wildlife monitoring and want to support the conservation of iconic species like Przewalski’s horses and kulans? The Frankfurt Zoological Society, via the Altyn Dala Conservation Initiative, is looking for:

Monitoring Intern for Przewalski’s horses & kulans

Location: Kazakhstan Duration: 2 months (start ASAP or later – please indicate availability in your application) Compensation: Travel expenses covered + minimum wage for 39h/week

Key tasks:

  • Behavioral and welfare monitoring of reintroduced kulans and Przewalski's horses
  • Body condition scoring (BCS) and parasite screening
  • Communication with the international project team
