The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague cordially invites you to an exhibition celebrating more than seven years of cooperation in Zambia. Through photographs and field stories, it highlights how the combination of science, education, and practice contributes to strengthening food security and improving livelihoods in local communities.
The exhibition will open on May 12, 2026, in the lobby of the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, CZU Prague.
The opening event will include a meeting with experts involved in the projects.
Zambia is a region where agriculture plays a crucial role in sustaining livelihoods, yet it faces multiple challenges, including climate change, limited market access, and low value addition in agricultural production. Addressing these challenges has been at the core of FTZ CZU Prague’s long-term activities.
The exhibition presents a wide range of projects – from integrated farming systems and agrobiodiversity to the development of value chains (such as mango and cassava), as well as farmer training and cooperation with local universities. The focus goes beyond increasing production, emphasizing sustainability, economic resilience, and adaptability.
Partnerships are a key element of these projects. FTZ collaborates with Czech and international institutions, NGOs such as Caritas Czech Republic, as well as local communities and universities. These partnerships enable knowledge transfer and the development of long-term sustainable solutions.
Students and researchers from FTZ are actively involved in these activities, gaining hands-on experience in the field and contributing to applied research and education. The exhibition therefore not only presents project outcomes but also the people behind them.
