Academic solidarity in times of war: How Moldova and the Czech Republic support Ukrainian students
The war in Ukraine has forced millions of people to leave their homes. Among them are students who had to abruptly interrupt their studies and seek refuge in neighbouring countries. In Moldova, a country with limited resources, they face the difficult task not only of continuing their education but also of adapting to a new environment, culture and academic traditions.

From Thesis to Practice: Data Collection within the SmartAgri Cambodia Project
Simona Tomanová, a graduate of the Master’s program International Development and Agricultural Economics, drew on her experience with data collection for her thesis on labor rights and child labor in the cashew sector in Cambodia to contribute to the implementation of the SmartAgri Cambodia: Advancing Sustainable Agriculture in Battambang project, carried out by the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTZ) in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering (TF). The main activities of this year focus on analyzing the current situation and needs of agricultural cooperatives in Battambang Province.

Government Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries
The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships within the framework of its Foreign Development Cooperation to support the study of foreign nationals from selected developing countries at public higher education institutions in the Czech Republic. The deadline for submitting applications for the academic year 2026/2027 is 30 September 2025.
