As part of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) 2023 project, the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation from its long-standing partner universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The delegation included Prof. Alena Huseinbegović, Rector of Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar (DBUM), Mirsada Behram, Head of the International Relations Office, DBUM, as well as our long-term colleagues Dr. Adrijana Filipović and Dr. Ana Mandić from the University of Mostar.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Iva Kučerová, who has been actively developing partnerships with Bosnian universities for more than a decade.
During their stay, the delegation met with Prof. Michal Lošťák, Rector of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, and Assoc. Prof. Hynek Roubík, Dean of the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences. The meetings highlighted the strategic importance of the long-standing partnership between the participating institutions and reaffirmed the shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation in education, research and internationalisation.
The discussions focused on strengthening Erasmus+ mobility, expanding academic cooperation, identifying new opportunities for joint research and educational activities, and exploring future international project funding.
The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences highly values its long-standing partnership with Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar and the University of Mostar. Built on more than a decade of successful cooperation through projects supported by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Czech Development Agency and Erasmus+, this partnership continues to create new opportunities for students, academic staff and both institutions.
