With the collaboration between the Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS) members and other new contribution from New Zealand and Israel, the ELLS Scientific Student Conference was held in Uppsala in Sweden on 15th and 16th of November 2019.
The topic of ELLS Conference 2019 was “Managing Broad Environmental Interests in a Sustainable World”
The main Subthemes were:
- The future use of natural resources
- Green entrepreneurship
- Solutions for an urban ecosystem
- Innovations in the food chain
It was possible to see hundreds of posters and presentations through the conference’s program. As is the custom every year since 2009, our University participated strongly in the conference's activities.
Furthermore, as commonly, there was also a contribution from our Biogas Research Team (BRT) titled:
“An Outlook of Biogas Energy Prospects and Challenges: The Case of Syria” authored by Ghaith Hasan, Hynek Roubík, Jana Mazancová and Jan Banout.
Besides, Dr. Jana Mazancová (also from our BRT) was a board member of this conference and a leader of one of the poster sessions.
