On Thursday, 18 December, the second edition of the FTZ Grand Science Slam took place at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
Six contestants faced a challenging task: to present their research in just five minutes, using only one slide, while relying on unlimited creativity. The audience enjoyed science presented in an engaging and unconventional way — through humour, poetry, comics and original props.
All participants delivered excellent performances and deserve great recognition. The winner was Mgr. Jakub Dvořák, a first-year PhD student in the TAMB programme, with his memorable talk “Graveyards and other beautiful places where to have a date with your research.”
The Faculty congratulates the winner and all contestants and is already looking forward to the next edition, proving once again that science can be accessible, engaging and inspiring.
