FTZ PhD Student Completes Erasmus+ KA171 Traineeship in Cameroon

Gideon Ayeah Gobti, a PhD student at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU Prague), recently completed an Erasmus+ KA171 traineeship at the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences (FASA), University of Dschang in Cameroon. The mobility provided an opportunity to combine academic training, practical experience, and cultural exchange in one of the country's leading agricultural regions.

Dschang is recognised as one of the agricultural hubs of western Cameroon, offering excellent conditions for hands-on learning through its strong farming tradition, research institutions, and practical education. These qualities made it an ideal destination for the traineeship.

During his placement, Gideon participated in laboratory and field activities while developing practical skills in biogas technology, farm mechanisation, welding, and plastic recycling. He also strengthened important transferable skills, including teamwork and collaboration in an international academic environment.
