The ELLS General Assembly and Forum 2024, themed "Innovations in Higher Education," took place on November 21–22, 2024, at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. The event brought together educators, researchers, and students to discuss transformative practices in higher education. It featured strategic meetings, workshops on topics such as AI in education and joint programs, keynote presentations, and panel discussions. The results of the project “Networking through student cooperation on case study challenges (NET-COOP)” were presented by the ELLS network during the forum. This project, aimed at enhancing student collaboration through interdisciplinary case studies, was coordinated by academic staff from BOKU, CZU, and SLU. Project coordinators from FTZ, Petra Chaloupková and Olga Leuner, along with six students from FTZ, shared their experiences and insights gained during the project’s implementation. Their presentation highlighted the value of hands-on, collaborative learning in tackling complex real-world challenges and demonstrated the success of international academic partnerships.
Within the ELLS network, the EuroLeague Student Association (ELSA) actively engages students, providing a platform to share experiences and promote sustainability and innovation in life sciences. FTZ Master’s student Danica Juházyová was honored with the ELSA Sustainability Award 2024. The award recognized her outstanding commitment to sustainability, demonstrated through exceptional presentation skills, creativity, and an innovative approach.
