At the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, we have our very own running club – Jungle Runners – bringing together students, academics, and staff who share a passion for running. We meet every Wednesday at 12:00 for joint training sessions and take part in selected running competitions.
This year, our team took part in several running events. On 7–8 June 2025, the Jungle Runners joined the prestigious LabeRun, a 380 km relay race from Špindlerův Mlýn to Děčín. Our team completed the course in 36:31:00, placing 52nd overall.
We also participated in the Run Berounka Run – a 130 km relay race consisting of six stages through forest and field trails. The 7th edition took place on 4 October 2025, leading runners through the scenic landscape along the Berounka River towards Prague. Our team enjoyed the race and the great atmosphere throughout the event.

Members of Jungle Runners also represented FTZ at the traditional CZU Rector’s Cup Run, held on 22 October 2025, showing true team spirit and enthusiasm.
Would you like to join the team, or at least take part in our regular training sessions? Even if you don’t feel ready for a race yet, running together is a great way to prepare for future challenges!
