The Neuron Foundation has launched a new call for proposals within the Neuron Expeditions 2026 programme, supporting scientific field research worldwide. Research teams can apply for funding of up to CZK 1,000,000, regardless of their discipline.
The call is open to researchers conducting field-based research beyond laboratories – where unique discoveries and valuable data are generated. The application deadline is April 17, 2026.
Neuron Expeditions have a strong track record of supporting outstanding projects with international impact. Previous expeditions have led to discoveries such as the largest underground thermal lake in the world, research on endangered species in Africa, and explorations of ancient civilizations.
The programme is known for its flexible funding approach and emphasis on both scientific excellence and public communication of research.
The call is open to teams across all disciplines – from natural and environmental sciences to social sciences.
