Representatives from Prince of Songkla University Visit FTZ to Promote the Double Degree Programme
The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTZ), Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), recently had the honor of welcoming three colleagues from Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, within the framework of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project coordinated by Ing. Petra Chaloupková, Ph.D., dr. h.c., Vice-Dean for International Relations.
This visit further deepened the long-term partnership between both institutions and highlighted their shared commitment to high-quality education, research, and international cooperation.
Inspiring lectures and academic exchange
During their stay, the PSU representatives delivered guest lectures in the courses Management of International Development and Tropical Products Marketing, offering FTZ students valuable insights into tropical agriculture and market systems in Southeast Asia.
They also presented the newly accredited Double Degree Master’s Programme in Agricultural Development – International Development and Agricultural Economics during a special event held on 23 October 2025.
A truly international study experience
This unique study programme enables students to earn two Master’s degrees in two years—one from PSU and one from CZU—while gaining academic and cultural experience across Europe and Asia. The collaboration enhances intercultural understanding, supports student and staff mobility, and fosters international research in sustainable agriculture and rural development.
