Travel scholarship for Short-term mobilities and Internships

Basic Information

The Department of International Relations and the Department for Science, Research and Doctoral Studies of FTZ announce a call for the Student Mobility Support Grant.

The grant supports short-term physical mobility related to thesis work or research activities.

Who Can Apply

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. students of FTZ,
  • students with active enrolment during the mobility period,
  • students without outstanding obligations from previous grants.

Supported Activities

  • thesis-related study or research stays at foreign universities,
  • short-term research and study visits,
  • Ph.D. internships at excellent Czech or international institutions,
  • summer schools, seminars and conferences (non-priority).

Research-oriented mobility is given priority.

Pay attention to the selection and evaluation criteria of applications

Target country – ongoing cooperation with the university (Memorandum of Understanding, priority country of the Czech Republic, country according to the CZU Internationalization Strategy)

0= no cooperation, 1=ongoing cooperation with the university, 2 = priority country + ongoing cooperation with the university

Length of stay abroad for the purpose of data collection (min. 21 days)

0= mobility 21-29 days, 1= mobility 30 days and more

Priority is given to master's students working on a thesis and Ph.D. students who apply for support for an internship at an excellent Czech or foreign workplace. 0= unfulfilled, 1=fulfilled 0 1
Priority is given to students who will not collect data in their country of origin or country of permanent residence. 0= unfulfilled, 1=fulfilled 0 1
Total points   0 10

 

Financial Support

  • Estimated amount: approx. CZK 10,000 per student
  • Final amount depends on ranking and available budget
  • There is no legal entitlement to the grant

Application Procedure

Deadline: 20 May 2026, 24:00 (CET)

After the Mobility

Within 10 working days after return, students must submit:

  • final report,
  • confirmation of participation,
  • travel documents,
  • photos and consent for FTZ promotion.

Important Notice

  • Only physical (in-person) mobility is eligible for funding.
  • Students must arrange valid travel insurance before departure.
  • For internships, liability insurance covering professional activities is also required.
  • ČZU strongly recommends ERGO travel insurance.
