Basic Information
The Double Degree Programme in Agricultural Development - International Development and Agricultural Economics is a unique collaboration between Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, and Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), the Czech Republic.
This programme offers students the unique opportunity to gain two master’s degrees in two years while experiencing diverse academic and cultural environments with a focus on tropical agriculture.

- Upon completion, students earn two prestigious degrees within two years:
1) CZU: Ing. (equivalent to M.Sc.) in International Development and Agricultural Economics
2) PSU: M.Sc. in Agricultural Development

Study Contents
The two-year Double Degree programme starts in October each year. All students spend one year at each university: the first year at CZU and the second year at PSU.
Year 1: CZU
Students starting at CZU will benefit from the broad scope of core courses and optional courses at CZU in the first year, particularly:
- Institutional and behavioural economics.
- Agricultural policy.
- Economics of Farming Systems.
- Development Economics.
- Tropical Products Marketing.
- Cooperatives and Farmer’s Associations
- Thesis-related courses.
Year 2: PSU
Students studying at PSU in the second year will benefit from the compulsory module and elective courses at PSU, in the areas:
- Sustainable agricultural systems and agricultural resources management.
- Organization development and leadership in agriculture.
- Tropical crop production and husbandry
- Econometrics in agriculture.
- Professional training in agriculture.
- Thesis-related courses.
The supervision of master's theses will be overseen in collaboration by supervisors from both universities. This arrangement enables students to accrue experience in two distinct scientific work cultures.

Admission Requirements
Eligibility:
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or an equivalent degree in Agriculture or related Life Sciences and Social Sciences, following at least three years of university studies. The degree must have been obtained at an acknowledged institution.
- English proficiency - interview in English
The application deadline:
- Applications for the winter semester 2026/27 (starting from October 2026) must be submitted by March 31, 2026.

Requirements
Selection will be based upon grades, educational background, and relevant professional experience. Additional professional qualifications can also be considered.

Admission criteria also comprise English language skills, in addition, students need to pass an on-site/on-line interview in English. Qualified applicants will be interviewed and selected by the committees from CZU and PSU for final evaluation.
