Thanks to the project Study in Prague, Ethiopian alumnus of the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences and current the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resource of Ethiopia, H.E Dr.Eyasu Abraha Alle visited the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague in late October 2017.
H.E Dr.Eyasu Abraha Alle graduated within doctoral studies at the former Institute of Tropics and Subtropics, nowadays the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences in 2008. After return to his home country, he started his successful career as researcher and later head of Mekelle Agricultural Research Centre. In 2011, H.E Dr.Eyasu Abraha Alle became a general director of the Tigray Agricultural Research Institute and in 2016; he became the Minister of Agricluture and Natural Resource of Ethiopia.
During his visit at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, the faculties and institute prepared short visits of their facilities and informed him about their research and study programmes. Each faculty and institute prepared programme for half working day; H.E Dr.Eyasu Abraha Alle enjoyed the visit with three other alumni from Nepal, Indonesia and Albania.
H.E Dr.Eyasu Abraha Alle met also his Czech counterpart, the Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, Ing. Marian Jurečka; the head of Czech Development Agency, Ing. Pavel Frelich and JuDr. Ivan Jančárek from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, section of Sub-Saharan states of Africa.
During the fruitful meetings, H.E Dr.Eyasu Abraha Alle presented Ethiopian agriculture and strategies for growth and discussed with partners the possibilities for further cooperation and improvements.
