On March 12, the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences hosted the workshop "Bridging Cultures: Mastering Communication in a Multicultural Environment," led by the Head of Student Ambassadors, Bc. Mataa Ndau. The event brought together students and professionals to explore effective communication strategies in diverse cultural settings.
The Vice-Dean for International Relations Ing. Petra Chaloupková, PhD., dr. h.c shared key insights from research on the challenges faced by international students, their needs and strategies for supporting intercultural communication.
The keynote speaker Dominik Ježek, a communication specialist from SAP, delivered an impactful and practical session. He provided real-world examples of overcoming communication barriers and offered tips that participants could immediately apply. His deep insight into communication challenges in the workplace left a lasting impression.
Interactive sessions using Mentimeter and Kahoot engaged attendees in deeper discussions. The event concluded with a non-formal networking session, where attendees had the chance to connect and share their experiences in a relaxed atmosphere. The success of this workshop not only enhanced participants' intercultural communication skills but also fostered new connections and a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity.
