Tropentag 2024 Conference Announcement

The Faculty of Tropical Agrisciences is delighted to announce the upcoming Tropentag 2024 conference, a premier international event focusing on research in tropical and subtropical agriculture, natural resource management, and rural development.  

 

Tropentag 2024 will be hosted by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), Austria, from September 11th to 13th, 2024. Embracing the possibilities of the hybrid format, the conference will take place both in Vienna and online, fostering global participation and collaboration. 

 

Conference Theme:  

Explore Opportunities… for managing natural resources and a better life for all 

 

Tropentag is an annual international conference on research in tropical and subtropical agriculture, natural resource management and rural development. Tropentag is jointly organised by BOKU University (Austria) and the Universities of Berlin, Bonn, Göttingen, Hohenheim, Kassel-Witzenhausen, ZALF e.V. (all Germany), Ghent University (Belgium), Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (Czech Republic), and the Council for Tropical and Subtropical Research (ATSAF e.V.) in cooperation with the GIZ Fund International Agricultural Research (FIA).  

 

Tropentag 2024 aims to provide a platform for researchers, scientists, students, development experts, and stakeholders to delve into the multifaceted challenges and opportunities in managing natural resources towards achieving a better quality of life for all. With a focus on sustainable development, the conference will explore innovative approaches, interdisciplinary solutions, and collaborative efforts to address pressing issues in agriculture, environmental management, food security, and rural livelihoods. 

 

The call for papers and preliminary conference information is now available HERE.

Tropentag 2024 will take place at the BOKU University and invites all scientists, students, and experts addressing topics in the above-mentioned fields. Young scientists are particularly encouraged to present their research projects and results.
