As a Research Associate, I have to undertake my own research project aligned with the economic reform agenda of the Myanmar Government and also actively involved in the implementation of regulatory reforms related projects in collaboration with different organizations and universities. Additionally, my responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining an updated knowledge of government policy decisions with respect to relevant research topics of the Institute, supporting in the design and implementation of MDI’s research agenda, participate in the review contract and loan negotiations on behalf of the Myanmar Government, provide relevant training as needed and disseminate research findings and policy analyses as and when required to the line ministries, the private sector, and other stakeholders. Moreover, I have to engage in regular dialogue with consultations with government officials, members of civil society, think tanks, media, political parties, private sector entities, and so on, at various stage of the research process.
