We are happy to announce our traditional Spring Student Plant Sale is back for 2025!
Our students, in cooperation with academic staff of the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, have carefully grown and prepared a diverse selection of plants available for purchase in our botanical garden.
When: from April 23, 2025, until sold out (no later than May 31, 2025) Where: outdoor area of the FTZ Botanical Garden
All plants come directly from our own botanical garden. Not only will they bring life and beauty to your home, balcony, or garden, but by purchasing them, you directly support the work and effort of our students – future professionals in tropical agriculture and plant sciences.

The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences is once again registered for the team relay race LabeRun – a 380 km challenge from Špindlerův Mlýn to Děčín, which will take place during the weekend of 7–8 June 2025.
Our FTZ team, known as the “Jungle Runners”, already has a core group of 9 runners. However, we are still looking for additional enthusiastic participants from among our students, academic staff and administrative employees. If you believe you can run three 10 km sections over two days, we would be delighted to have you on board.
For those who may not feel ready to compete this year but would like to take part in the future, we also offer regular running training sessions at FTZ, helping you prepare for LabeRun 2026.
